Choose compatible RAM without guessing

Memory must match the motherboard generation and should provide enough capacity for your workload without spending budget that would improve another component more.

What to check before buying

DDR4 or DDR5

DDR4 and DDR5 are physically and electrically different. Use only the memory generation supported by the selected motherboard.

Capacity and modules

Two matched modules are usually preferable for a desktop build. 32GB is a practical starting point for many modern gaming and productivity systems.

Speed and profiles

Confirm supported speeds and whether the kit provides the correct Intel XMP or AMD EXPO profile. Very high speeds are not guaranteed on every CPU and board.
